Water is important but we often forget to drink it and choose other beverages instead. It is a natural source that we take for granted because it’s readily available.

Our body is composed of 60% water and drinking enough water every day helps with digestion, circulation, absorption, and removing toxins from the body. The skin is the largest organ of the body and one of the things it needs is water. Skin problems like acne are visible once your skin is dehydrated. Wrinkles in your skin are less visible if you drink enough water every day.

Water doesn’t have calories it’s the reason why experts suggest it as a drink when it comes to losing weight or exercise. The kidneys need water to help remove excess sodium in your body, if not, it can lead to kidney failure.

If you are looking for other ways to increase your water intake you can also add foods with high water content like juicy fruits such as watermelon and oranges, vegetables too such as lettuce, celery, and spinach. All the above benefits of drinking water are available for us but you might ask why do people drink beverages instead of water?

The answer is because we have freedom of choice but people often forget that choices have results that can affect one’s health. I would like to challenge you to try drinking enough water every day for a month and see the benefits of drinking water for yourself. Most of diseases today are related to our lifestyle and we have to be reminded of the benefits of the natural sources that our body needs like water.
