Culture can be defined in many ways to fit what we want it to explain: The way of life of human beings cuts across, language, food, housing, religion, and job type. Education cannot be left out as well.
Our ways of life influence the manner in which we see the world. A variety of viewpoints along with the categories of personal and professional experience of an expatriate team can offer new perspectives that inspire colleagues to see the workplace and the world differently.
Working in a multicultural environment will positively enhance better productivity because of the diverse experiences put together. A group of different colleagues can also bring about huge success. We cannot rule out differences sometimes, but the level of achievement is greater.
Colleagues from different cultural backgrounds can also bring with them different workplace attitudes, values, behaviors, and etiquette. While these can be enriching and even beneficial in a diverse professional environment, they can also cause misunderstandings or ill feelings between team members.
Nevertheless, respecting our differences will automatically overrule whatever may appear as a setback.
