As parents, we are already concerned about our children’s social media activity: the misinformation and even greater reliance on phones during the pandemic will only intensify anxieties. We should work together with our kids and find ways to support them.
Online learning can help children find social connections, acceptance, and teacher support. Being home during the COVID-19 can offer feelings of safety and comfort. Their home is a safe learning environment where they feel busy and productive.
Regular exercise with our children can have a profoundly positive impact on anxiety. It also relieves stress, improves memory, helps them sleep better, and boosts their overall mood. We don’t have to be a fitness expert to pull this off. A modest amount of exercise can make a real difference. No matter our age or fitness level, we can learn to use exercise as a tool to deal with anxiety, improve our energy and have fun with our family.
