“What is now proved was once only imagined.” – William Blake
All the things we enjoy today like phones, the internet, robots, and electricity are products of a person with an innovative mindset. We are going to talk about how we can develop it and help our students or children to have this mindset.
What is an innovative mindset?
It is a way of thinking that finds ideas to solve a problem. In this article, I would like to share three ways to develop an innovative mindset.
- Be curious
Did you know that as early as 4 months, a baby develops a natural curiosity? This can also be nurtured because all of us wanted to learn something new. Curiosity also improves your critical thinking.
- Be brave
All of us have ideas that can solve a problem but we are scared to share them because someone might say that your idea is impossible. Being innovative means thinking differently from facts. Be brave to share your ideas.
- Be creative
Creativity is important in the process of creating your ideas to solve a problem. It helps you to understand the problem. Being creative is the core of innovation.
An innovative mindset can be developed. It is something we already have and needs to be nurtured. Do not forget, to be curious, to be brave, and to be creative.
