It is three little words, but do you even know that when you feel love? It is not your heart nor your liver that feels; it is your brain! And funny how people say that only fools fall in love; this person did not know enough about biology.
The hormone plays a big part in it. But how can you differentiate love from other things? Like maybe the other person just simply enjoying the other person’s company?
Three acts define love. First, it is caring, you give time to listen and empathize with their struggle and pain. A simple example is how a mother cares for their baby. They even understand without the baby being able to say a word; when the child cries, or hungry, in pain, or simply bored. Why? Because she listens.
So caring equals feeling. The act of listening equals knowing. Is that enough to define love? No. Big fat no.
The last one is crucial; empathizing with someone means you can put yourself in their shoes and know and feel their struggles. You know it too well until you take action. In this case, a mother gives the baby a milk bottle or comforts the baby with a lullaby.
So, before you say those three the most overrated words, think again. Do the other person care? Does the person listen and can act on their feelings or yours? If not, send that smiley emoticon and tell him or her, thank you, but no, thank you.
