On October 7, 2017, Aii Language Center successfully held the 15th Mengly J. Quach Spelling Bee Contest with the total number of 634 contestants from all the three campuses registered.

The contest does not only provide a valuable educational experience for our students, but also allows them to engage in healthy competition. There are many other benefits from this extra-curricular activity. A child’s confidence level is usually boosted after entering into such competitions. A spelling bee helps them gain the confidence they need to speak in public and accept their mistakes.

After a very tough and challenging competition, Serapor Thongdan and Vatanak Ngoun were announced the champion for their respective program, together with Rithearung Som, Joel Chan, Taisy Heang, and Voleak Va who were announced runner-ups.

It is important to remember that a spelling bee competition can result in a range of benefits ranging from higher confidence to better vocabulary.

At the end of the competition, the champions were rewarded trophies, certificates, gold medals and gifts. The first runner-ups were rewarded certificates, silver medals and gifts, and the second runner-ups were rewarded certificates, bronze medals and gifts.
