My name is Dara Phin. I earned two different degrees: a bachelor’s in accounting and a master’s in TEFL. In 2011, I graduated my Bachelor Degree in Accounting at Vanda Institute of Accounting. In the meantime, I was a part-time teacher of English. I started my teaching career at Aii Language Center in 2015. First, I was an ESL part-time teacher for about a year. Later on, I became a full-time ESL teacher. I have been working as a teacher of English for more than ten years so far. In 2019, I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at the University of Cambodia (UC) to complete my qualification. Moreover, I used to be a presenter at the 15th Annual CamTESOL Conference on English Language Teaching. On January 2, 2023, I was promoted to ESL Headteacher at the Mao Tse Tong campus.
As an educator, I believe that every student has their own potential and ability to learn, and educators have the responsibility to encourage every student to reach their full potential. Teachers should encourage the assessment of knowledge by allowing students to share and work in a student-centered. Each student has their own unique way to learn, and that should be respected and appreciated through a variety of instructional activities.
