There are different reasons that motivate people to work as teachers. For me, there have been a few reasons which have inspired me to become a teacher. My father has been working as a teacher for more than ten years, and he plays an important role at a public school as he is promoted to be a school principal.
In my community, the number of students who dropout of school keeps increasing because of their family conditions, especially financial problems. My father always encourages his students to survive with the problems they encounter, and he constantly makes time in the evenings to teach them for free. He does so because he wants to see all of the youngsters in that area acquire an education and have a better life. He always tries his best to work with other organizations as much as he can in order to find solutions to deal with the problems that students face. He is the one who often reminds people in my community that because we are already impoverished, we cannot expect our next generation to tread in the same footsteps. As a result, only education has the potential to influence not only our community but the entire globe.
For the reasons above, I always ask myself why can’t I help people who have no chance to study and be happy to see them grow.
